For some reason, the “sex scene” between Elphaba (Cynthia Erivo) and Fiyero (Jonathan Bailey) in Wicked: For Good is causing all kinds of discourse. Which is a true sign of the chaste times we live in. Especially as there’s limited intimacy and no nudity in that scene, which accompanies the duet “As Long As You’re Mine.” But the pearl-clutching is rampant anyway. However, there are just as many people who love it. Especially Elphaba’s cardigan she wears before she and her lover have magical smoochy time. The cardigan has gone so viral that at a recent press event, via Deadline , reporters asked Erivo about the cardigan, and what it has come to represent to the Wicked fandom.
