CENTER POINT-URBANA, Iowa (KCRG) - Tara Crowley is committed to play softball at Iowa Central. The Center Point-Urbana senior also competes on the wrestling mat.

Like most wrestlers, she loves the intensity.

“I like the competitiveness. I like to be aggressive. I like to get in there and just go. I’m always go-go-going,” Crowley said.

But Crowley also competes on a much calmer stage with her Shetland sheepdog, Sky.

“She’s my little baby. I love her,” Crowley said.

Crowley and Sky compete at dog shows, and it runs in the family. Crowley and her canine companion have gotten to some of the biggest stages of the competition.

But the walk to victory is a little different than wrestling. Their fate hangs with the judges, and they can’t always control whether the duo wins or loses.
