" The Summer I Turned Pretty " creator Jenny Han shared an update on how much progress she's made on writing the forthcoming movie, revealing that she recently finished the script after it first got announced back in September.

“I just wrote it," Han said during The Wrap's 2025 Power Women Summit , noting, "We have not filmed anything yet."

And while the 45-year-old — who also wrote the book trilogy of the same name — may have made a lot of forward progress on the story, she said it still won't be arriving when a lot of viewers initially theorized.
