JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (KFVS) - Missourians voted in favor of abortion access, but lawmakers continue to introduce bills that would ban or restrict access.

Several bills have been prefiled in both the Missouri House of Representatives and the Missouri Senate to change Missouri’s abortion laws. The most extreme bills would criminalize abortion on the same level as premeditated murder.

Cape Fair Republican Sen. Brad Hudson has filed a bill preventing ambulances from taking people to abortion providers. The goal, Hudson explains, is to prevent tax dollars from going toward an abortion.
