LEXINGTON, Ky. (ABC 36 NEWS NOW) – The top-seeded Kentucky volleyball team downed Wofford in straight sets (25–11, 25–19, 25–12) to advance to the second round. They will face No. 8 seed UCLA, who defeated Georgia Tech in five sets earlier Thursday evening.
Kentucky dominated the match from start to finish. The Wildcats recorded 45 kills and 66 digs (a high in a three-set match), compared to Wofford’s 27 kills and 54 digs.
Brooklyn DeLeye led the Wildcats with 14 kills, and Molly Tuozzo led the team in digs with 19.
Kentucky will now face UCLA tomorrow at 7 p.m. inside Historic Memorial Coliseum, hoping to win and advance to the second weekend.
