For the first time in nearly 20 years, LeBron James scored single-digit points in an NBA regular-season game.
James put up only 8 points against the Toronto Raptors on Thursday, snapping a streak of 1,297 games of double-digit scoring in the regular season. The last time he scored less than 10 points was on Jan. 5, 2007, against the Milwaukee Bucks when he also had 8. The second-longest streak all time is by Michael Jordan at 866 games, according to ESPN Research. Heading into Thursday, the longest active streak behind James is Kevin Durant with 267 games.
That got us thinking: What are some other sports records that might be unbreakable? Whether it's the evolution of the game or the sheer greatness of those who set them, some marks appear downright untouchable.
