WARNER ROBINS, Ga. — Three Warner Robins firefighters were recognized Monday night by the city council for their bravery during a dangerous house fire in August.
Lieutenant Travis Keen, Firefighter Terrence Wideman, and Engineer Jose Torres responded to the structure fire shortly after midnight on Aug. 25, rescuing a disabled woman and her child.
“We saved her life,” Keen said.
Wideman described the urgency of the moment.
“Main thing was to get her out as quickly and safely as possible,” he said.
“As a driver, my priority was to…have water, you know, pull jump lines,” said Torres, who remained outside during the rescue.
He added that once the woman was out, he helped with patient care until EMS arrived.
