PITT COUNTY, N.C. (WITN) - Christmas lights and holiday cheer filled the air in downtown Ayden on Thursday, as their Annual Christmas Parade was held.
“I’m super excited, I love Christmas time,” Daisy Quiroz, a parade attendee, said. “I love the joy, the family, the food, everything. I love it. We love the parade, so we come every year.”
Residents also gathered for the town’s Christmas Market, where local food and vendor businesses sold items.
Others sat and watched as dozens of holiday themed floats, a marching band and Pitt County emergency personnel drove by and honked their horns.
“My sister’s in the parade, so we came out here and we just want to have a good time,”Remigton Huggins, another attendee, said.
