Even going into her 28th year as the maestro of North Catholic’s unmatched girls basketball dynasty, Trojanettes coach Molly Rottmann insists the first-day jitters never go away.
“If I told you the reality of my house, you would not believe it,” Rottmann said. “Absolutely — jitters, nerves, and excitement. I’m super excited about this group. We don’t have a senior. It’s like a two year plan of building blocks of what we want to be.”
North Catholic kicked off Rottmann’s two-year plan in a big way on Thursday night, hitting the road and defeating Class 6A foe Seneca Valley for a season-opening 53-43 win. The Trojanettes had four players reach double figures on the evening, led by Brady Wehner with 19 points including four 3-pointers.
