‘Banjo and Piano’ come together for one night only

Mike Harrington, executive director of the Wheeler Opera House, spends most of his time seeking out acts to play at the historic venue on Mill Street. But occasionally an artist will seek him out, which is exactly the case with Monday’s concert featuring Andy Thorn (banjo) and Erik Deutsch (piano), two virtuoso musicians who played together in Leftover Salmon from 2016 to 2020.

Deutsch has lived in Colonia Roma Norte in Mexico City since 2019. His day job, or night job as it were, is holding down the keyboards for the Black Crowes. He is a sought-after collaborator and sideman as well who works in m
