DENVER, Colorado (KFDA) - Senior Currie Marusak delivered a career-best 23 kills Thursday night as #20 West Texas A&M defeated CSU Pueblo in four sets (25-19, 25-19, 21-25, 25-20) to advance to the NCAA South Central Regional Semifinals.
The Lady Buffs controlled the opening set from the start. Emma Becker and Taytum Stow provided early kills with assists from Hannah Pemberton, while Bromli Watson and Marusak helped build a 7-2 advantage.
Marusak connected frequently with Watson throughout the set, and WT led 21-14 before CSU Pueblo made a late push.
A block by Stow and Becker ended the set 25-19.
