College football's early signing period continued on Thursday.

Greenwood High School quarterback Triston Lewis, who broke program passing records this season in leading the Eagles to a 9-2 season, signed with South Carolina as a defensive back.

At Greenville High School, the Red Raiders celebrated a pair of football players signing with FBS programs. Four-star defensive lineman Franklin Whitley signed with Florida State, and three-star cornerback Jamarion McKinney signed with Cincinnati.

Greenville High School's Chase Meister signed with Averett University to play baseball, and McKinley Darnell will play softball at Spartanburg Methodist.
