A York County man who was arrested for setting a fire told his girlfriend and an arresting officer they would “end up like Becker, Emenheiser and Baker ,” three officers who were fatally shot in North Codorus Township earlier this year , according to charging documents.
Northern York County Regional Police were dispatched just after 7:45 p.m. on Nov. 29, to the 3100 block of Carlisle Road in Dover Township for a backyard shed fire.
Officers then spoke with a man on the property, later identified as 31-year-old Christian Meiler, who was visibly intoxicated, according to an affidavit of probable cause filed against him.
Meiler told officers, “I hate Northern York County Regional,” and said, “If you were York City, I would talk to you, but you aren’t.”
