A man who repeatedly turned up at his ex-partner’s home while drunk has run out of opportunities to stay out of prison.

Martin Richardson spent two hours trying to get into his victim’s home after turning up at 5.30am while intoxicated, a judge heard.

The 40-year-old was already serving a suspended sentence for bombarding her with calls and even pretending to be a police officer to her elderly mother.

Dan Wilberforce, prosecuting, said: “He approached the property and tried to convince her to let him in. He appeared to be in drink, and this was captured on the Ring doorbell.

“He was shouting in the street – ‘I love you, let me in. Have you got someone in there?’ and he was banging on the door.
