Let's talk behavioral health.

The New Mexico Health Care Authority — which administers federal benefits as well as behavioral health programs and services that have supported more than 200,000 New Mexicans in the past 12 months — is gathering public feedback on how the state can better meet the needs of people with serious mental illnesses, severe emotional disturbances, substance use disorders and brain injuries.

That feedback will inform the agency's Behavioral Health Assessment and Feasibility Study report, which was funded by the Legislature earlier this year and will be published in January.

The Health Care Authority will host virtual public forums to collect public comments at the following dates and times:

For health care and managed care plan providers: Noon to 1 p.m. Tuesday.
