This is the dramatic moment an explosion within a unit 'full of fireworks' forced a firefighter to run for cover.

The firefighter was tackling a huge blaze at Manor Industrial Estate on Pleck Road on Thursday night, December 4.

Flames had ripped through the unit, sending thick plumes of smoke into the night sky.

Bangs could also be heard from within as the fire took hold of the unit, which was 'understood to contain fireworks, stock and wooden pallets'.

Footage, posted on social media, captured the moment a huge explosion lit up the scene as a shower of glowing hot debris came down.

The firefighter was forced to run back, before urging members of the public to step away.
