Jack Ashton and Preston Ferro each scored to lead Don Bosco Prep to a 2-1 win over St. Joseph (Mont.) at the Ice Vault in Wayne.

Jason Juneau scored in the second period to give the Green Knights (0-1) a 1-0 lead, but Ferro and Ashton netted back-to-back goals in the third period to give Don Bosco (1-0) the season-opening win.

Alex Annunziato recorded 17 saves for the Ironmen.

Gabe Florio made 24 saves for SJR.
