Netflix is teaming up with Skydance Sports on another exciting new sports documentary on the life and career of NFL and Denver Broncos legend John Elway, the two-time Super Bowl-winning quarterback. Elway will be released on Netflix on December 22, 2025

Netflix continues to partner with Skydance Sports, which has already worked with the streamer on the previously released docuseries Aaron Rodgers: Enigma . Skydance Sports has released more sports docs in 2025, including WWE Unreal and America’s Team: The Gambler and His Cowboys .

Jason Reed, from Skydance Sports, is listed as the sole producer, joined by Angus Wall, Terry Leonard, and Kent Kubena for Makemake.
