UNIVERSITY HEIGHTS, Ohio -- As outgoing Mayor Michael Dylan Brennan and Mayor-elect Michele Weiss have had their share of clashes in recent years, it is perhaps of some interest how the mayoral transition between the two would proceed leading to Jan. 1.
So far, the answer is ‘not so well.’
Weiss, currently the city’s vice mayor, was elected mayor in November and will officially take office when the New Year begins. Brennan, after serving his second term as mayor, did not seek re-election.
This week, Brennan let it be known on his Mayor Michael Dylan Brennan Facebook page that he does not like Weiss’s initial actions leading to the day she becomes mayor.
As such, Brennan stated that he has ordered city employees not to speak with Weiss until Jan. 1, unless doing so in a public meeting
