Fans anxiously awaiting "The Summer I Turned Pretty" film just got an update on when they may get to return to Cousins Beach.

Jenny Han, author and creator of "The Summer I Turned Pretty," gave an update on the franchise-wrapping movie during The Wrap's 2025 Power Women Summit .

“I just wrote it,” Han said. “We have not filmed anything yet.”

Prime Video officially confirmed the film on Sept. 17, the same day the Season 3 finale dropped on the streaming platform. Han will direct the film, which was written by herself and Sarah Kucserka.
