What happened?: The crash occurred at around 8.45pm on Tuesday, December 2, at a crossing island near the entrances to Burger King and Starbucks in the Glasgow Harbour area.
How old was the victim? : The victim, a 26-year-old woman, was taken to the but was pronounced dead shortly after arrival. Her family has been informed.
What did police say?: Emergency services rushed to the scene following reports of an alleged “hit-and-run” incident. The vehicle involved was travelling west along Castlebank Street and had left the scene before arrived. Photos from the crash site showed a significant police presence near the fast-food outlets and Clydeside Expressway,with officers securing the area and cordoning off the road to allow enquiries. The street has since reopened.
