Michigan signed the bulk of its 2026 class on Wednesday, the first day of the early signing period, but had to wait until Thursday morning to have five-star running back Savion Hiter officially join the team. Hiter, the nation’s top-ranked running back and No. 8 overall prospect, according to the 247Sports Composite, reportedly held up signing with the Wolverines while some contract details were refined. Michigan had signed a class of 26 players by Thursday afternoon.
