Delta Air Lines has initiated a ground stop for flights at Detroit Metropolitan Airport in Romulus, the airport alerted travelers on its website Friday, Dec. 5, 2025. It posted about the outage on X just after 7 a.m.

The airline is experiencing a network outage affecting operations at the airport's McNamara Terminal. The issue is specific to Delta and not impacting other airlines at DTW.

DTW's website show delays starting for arrivals and departures scheduled for about 7 a.m.

DTW urged travelers to check their flight status with their airline before heading to the airport.
