First Lady Melania Trump, tired of noisy White House construction, has returned to public view for the holidays after staying quiet for much of President Donald Trump's first year back in office.

The first lady appeared alongside her husband for the White House Christmas tree lighting Thursday, Dec. 4 in Washington D.C., one of several public outings over the past three weeks. She spoke with military families and American troops Nov. 19 at Camp Lejeune and welcomed the White House Christmas tree Nov. 24.

The following day, Trump helped ceremonially pardon a pair of turkeys, Gobble and Waddle, during the wacky annual tradition. Now fully in the holiday spirit, the first lady has been a constant presence at ceremonial events in recent weeks.

Late last month, Trump announced the launch of her "Muse Films" production company on social media with a brief video unveiling its official logo.

Muse's first project is the upcoming film titled "Melania," which is slated to release first in theaters nationwide Jan. 30 and then Amazon's Prime Video streaming service. The documentary follows Trump during the 20 days before her family returned to the White House following Inauguration Day on Jan. 20.

The White House also unveiled Trump's Christmas theme "Home Is Where The Heart Is" on Monday, Dec. 1. She made care packages the same day for deployed servicemembers alongside "Curb Your Enthusiasm" alum Cheryl Hines, the wife of health secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr., and Second Lady Usha Vance.

While leading the National Christmas Tree Lighting on Dec. 4, Trump was all smiles alongside the president, wearing a white wool coat worn over a blue dress with buttons.

Then earlier this week, the president gave the American people a rare look into Trump's preferences.

During a Dec. 2 Cabinet meeting, President Trump discussed demolition of the White House's East Wing, as he sets his sights on a 90,000-square-foot ballroom. "I wouldn't say my wife is thrilled," he said.

"She hears piledrivers in the background all day, all night," the president said of Melania Trump. "They go till 12 o'clock in the morning ‒ day, night, piledrivers. 'Darling, could you turn off the piledrivers?' Sorry, darling. That's progress."

Amid all the recent noise surrounding her husband's presidency, perhaps Trump plans to be more publicly present – just in time for the holidays.
