LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) - Louisville Metro Police will be releasing the footage of an officer-involved shooting in Southland neighborhood.
Fourth Division officers responded to a call at around 9:55 p.m. of a robbery in the 100 block of East Southland Boulevard on Saturday, Nov. 22.
The caller told police that they were robbed at gunpoint and gave a description of the suspect.
LMPD says officers found a man near the scene of the robbery and attempted to make contact with them, prompting the suspect to flee while taking out a handgun.
The two officers then fired at the suspect. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
LMPD identified Officers Patrick Norton and Officer Richard Waller as the two officers. Officer Patrick Norton had previously shot a man while on duty back in November of 2019
