Netflix is adding a lot more kernels to its popcorn bucket.

The streaming service announced Dec. 5 that it will purchase the streaming assets of Warner Bros. Discovery—including HBO Max—for a whopping $82.7 billion following its separation from its cable networks, which is set to be complete by the third quarter of 2026.
