BEAUMONT, Texas — Beaumont police searched a home in the 2400 block of Ashley Avenue on Friday after confirming it was where a woman lived whose body was found near Tyrrell Park earlier that morning. Officer Rodrick Williams told 12News that investigators found evidence a crime was committed at the house, though he did not specify the nature of that crime.

The search happened not long after officers located a Ford Expedition in the 2300 block of Ashley Avenue that officers on the scene in Beaumont’s Oaks Historic District said belonged to the victim, according to dispatch records.
