The Sting lost 2-1 to the North Bay Battalion for their seventh loss in eight games.
They remain last in the Ontario Hockey League’s Western Conference, partly because their offence is the conference’s second-worst.
They’re 1-2-0-0 under head coach Mathieu Turcotte, who expects a solid effort every night if they’re going to escape the cellar.
“The situation we’re in right now, if we’re not the hardest-working team on the ice, we won’t set ourselves up for success,” he said.
The Sting (7-15-3-1) continue their road trip Friday in Sudbury and Sunday in Sau
