A motor vehicle crash early Friday morning in East Boston has left one person dead, a spokesperson for the Boston Police Department said on Friday.

At 2:18 a.m. on Friday, officers responded to a report of a motor vehicle accident with injuries at 467 Chelsea St. in East Boston, the spokesperson told MassLive. When officers arrived, Boston EMS officials were already giving aid to the victim. The victim was transported to a local hospital, where they were pronounced dead, according to the spokesperson. The spokesperson did not reveal the name, age or gender of the victim.
