Grotto Pizza’s founder recently sold the regional pizza chain to a group of longtime employees who have plans to possibly expand to Lancaster County.
Majority owners, including President Jeffrey Gosnear and Vice President of Operations Adam Webster, Chief Financial Officer Frank Albero and Human Resource Director Glenn Bryum, bought a majority stake from Dominick Pulieri, according to the Delaware Business Times.
The publication reported the deal was finalized in the spring.
Gosnear said the transfer took nearly two years because of business and liquor regulations in the three states — Delaware, Maryland and Pennsylvania — where the restaurants operate.
