FDA Commish on RFK Jr.'s vaccine skepticism and who makes final calls

FDA Commissioner Dr. Marty Makary sat down with MS NOW’s Erielle Reshef for a wide-ranging interview. Makary tells Erielle that HHS Secretary RFK Jr. has deferred to his judgement – and to the physician leads in the administration – on matters of public health. Makary called for “nuance” in the guidance on the Hepatitis B vaccines for infants and urged humility amid a decline in public trust in the FDA. He was pressed about drug approvals and GLP-1 weight loss drugs.
