Merab Dvalishvili, Petr Yan UFC 323 official weigh-ins

LAS VEGAS – Merab Dvalishvili is on the cusp of history after making weight Friday for his UFC 323 title rematch against Petr Yan.

Bantamweight champion Dvalishvili (21-4 MMA, 14-2 UFC) will attempt to become the first in UFC history to make four title defenses in a calendar year when he runs it back with Yan (19-5 MMA, 11-4 UFC) in the headliner of Saturday's card at T-Mobile Arena (ESPN+ pay-per-view, ESPN2/ESPN+/Disney+/FX).

After making weight in January, May and October, Dvalishvili once again did his job on the scale at Friday's official weigh-ins. He will seek a 15th straight octagon victory, a record-setting fourth consecutive bantamweight title defense, and to go 2-0 over Yan, who seeks redemption for a March 2023 unanimous decision loss to "The Machine."

Dvalishvili was the first fighter to come to the scale and was 135 pounds on the nose. Yan came to the weigh-ins room about 40 minutes into the session and was 125, as well, to make the rematch official.
