Syracuse, N.Y. — Defensive line coach Elijah Robinson is being pursued by Louisiana State University to join new head coach Lane Kiffin’s staff, according to a report by FootballScoop .
Robinson is in Baton Rouge today, On3 subsequently reported .
Robinson spent two seasons as Syracuse’s defensive coordinator but was recently demoted after the team’s 3-9 season .
In his first season as a coordinator, Robinson coached four All-ACC players and a freshman All-American in defensive tackle Maraad Watson.
Prior to Syracuse, Robinson spent six seasons at Texas A&M as the Aggies’ defensive line coach. He cemented his status as one of the best recruiters in the country while in College Station.
