A 76-year-old woman struck in a crosswalk on Moanalua Road in Aiea Thursday night has died from her injuries, and the case has been reclassified as negligent homicide, Honolulu police said.
The Honolulu Police Department said the woman succumbed to her injuries today after being hospitalized in critical condition following the collision, which occurred at about 9:23 p.m. near the intersection of Moanalua Road and Ualo Street.
Police said a 52-year-old woman was driving westbound on Moanalua Road when she struck the pedestrian as the victim was crossing in a marked crosswalk. The driver remained at the scene and was not injured.
