On Friday, a federal judge in Baltimore is considering whether to stop a local union election tomorrow after the initial results were thrown out over allegations of employer interference.

In August, sanitation worker Stancil McNair won the leadership election for AFSCME Local 44, which represents Baltimore City Department of Public Works employees.

AFSCME leadership tossed out those results and ordered a new election, citing a social media post from the personal account of the city’s inspector general, Isabel Cumming, supportive of McNair’s campaign.
