COLUMBIA, S.C. (WIS) - The United Way of the Midlands is looking to help those needing to park during Saturday’s Carolina Carillon Parade in Columbia.

The organization said it will open the parking garage at 1301 Gervais Street through its “Park to Give” initiative. Those needing to park can make a $5 donation to be covered for the entire parade.

United Way also said this is valid at any reserved or unreserved parking space in the garage.

After parking, drivers can find “Park to Give” signs near stairs and elevators that contain a QR code. Drivers will then need to enter their license plate number and make the $5 donation on their phone.

United Way says every donation will support programs that help local families with “stability, safety, and essential resources.”
