One person is dead after a car crash in Burnaby during Friday’s morning commute.

Burnaby RCMP say officers were called out to a fatal motor vehicle collision shortly after 8 a.m., in the area of Sprott Street, from Norland to Kensington avenues.

Motorists are advised of road closures in the area and are asked to take an alternative route.

Investigators say more details will be released later.
