A New Jersey man seriously injured while driving through a construction zone in Hunterdon County more than seven years ago has been awarded $15.6 million by a jury.

Kyle G. Lauck suffered a traumatic brain injury and three fractures to his spine after being hit on the right side of the neck and jaw by a metal clamp on Route 519 in Holland Township on Nov. 27, 2018.

Lauck, then 23, spent two weeks in a hospital and two weeks at a rehabilitation facility learning how to walk again and climb steps, according to the law firm that represented him, Woodbridge-based Gill & Chamas.
