A little bit of a debate popped up at the 2026 World Cup Draw as Donald Trump spoke a few times, and it seems like former English star Rio Ferdinand responded live.
Trump had this to say: "When you look at what has happened to football ... soccer in the United States. We seem to never call it that because we have another conflict with another thing that's called football. But when you think about it... this is football, there is no question, but we have to come up with another name for the other one. It really does not make sense when you think about it."
Minutes later, when Ferdinand took to the stage, he seemed to respond to Trump: "We gotta stop calling it soccer. It's called football!"
