WOODSFIELD, OH (LOOTPRESS) – Bank tellers in Woodsfield, OH were taken by surprise Wednesday when a baggie containing a crystal-like substance, consistent with methamphetamine, came through the drive-thru air tube.

An investigation showed that 46-year-old Jason G. Smith of Woodsfield had unknowingly sent the substance during a banking transaction.

Smith was later located in Wayne Township by Ohio Department of Natural Resources officers.

Monroe County deputies, assisted by K9 Max, recovered additional suspected drugs and drug-related items from Smith’s truck. He was arrested and transported to the Monroe County Jail.

“Illegal drugs don’t belong in bank drive-thrus — but they can be turned in at the Sheriff’s Office. No charges, no handcuf
