In May 2024, federal law enforcement agents began subpoenaing East Baton Rouge Parish officials.

They were asking questions and seeking documents about “Housing for Heroes,” a major project to build affordable housing near Scotland Avenue, between Swan Avenue and Sora Street.

Now, more than a year later, state officials have charged that project’s developer , Bradly Brown, with multiple financial crimes in a Baton Rouge court.
