Today and tomorrow the 32nd annual NYS Indoor Kart Championships will take place at the Center of Progress Building at the NYS Fairgrounds in Syracuse. Eighteen different classes are competing with drivers age 5 and up. On Saturday, the building opens at 8 a.m., registration starts at 10 and practice starts at 11, with racing to follow. On Sunday, the building opens at 8, registration starts at 9, practice starts at 10, with racing to follow.

On Saturday, Dec. 13, Royal Mountain Ski Area will host the first of three scheduled Snow Drag events for this winter. Registration/ signup is from 4-6 p.m., test passes at 6 and racing at 7. Royal Mountain is located between Johnstown and Caroga Lake at 3072 Route 10, Johnstown.
