Jackson police said two men were shot Friday, Dec. 5, on Revere Street in South Jackson, with one succumbing to his injuries.
Hinds County Sheriff and Interim Jackson Police Chief Tyree Jones said officers responded to the shooting in the 2800 block of Revere Street.
Jones said an unidentified Black male, who is 37 years old, was found shot to death inside of a home.
Authorities had not notified next-of-kin at the time of publication, so the victim's name has not been released.
Jones said another unidentified male was found shot and transported to a local hospital. That person was last reported to be in stable condition.
No suspect information was available before the time of this publication.
