MORRISTOWN, TN – Nyjah Gibbs was practically unstoppable in the paint for the No. 8 Walters State women’s basketball team on Wednesday evening.

Taking on Chattanooga State, Gibbs scored a career-high 30 points, and Raegan Starks added 20 as the Lady Senators picked up a 76-27 win.

“We started a little flat tonight, but once we locked in, our team responded the right way and earned a strong conference win,” Walters State coach Jasmin Coleman said. “Nyjah (Gibbs) was tremendous with 30 and a big rebounding night, and Raegan (Starks) really got going in the second half.

“Defensively, I loved our commitment. Holding a team to 27 points takes effort from everyone. I am proud of our group, and we’ll keep building.”
