Brazil will come to North America in 2026 looking to win its first World Cup championship in 24 years.
It might be hard to believe that the nation with the most men's World Cup wins — five — has only a fourth-place finish as its best World Cup result since 2002. At the 2022 World Cup, Brazil was eliminated in the quarterfinals by Croatia in a penalty shootout.
Brazil will bring a star-studded squad to the 2026 tournament, featuring world-famous players such as forwards Vinícius Júnior and Raphinha, and goalkeeper Alisson.
Manager Carlo Ancelotti was hired in May to helm Brazil through the 2026 World Cup. Ancelotti joins the Seleção after a highly successful career coaching at the club level. He's won the UEFA Champions League a record five times as a manager, and has collected league titles in England, France, Germany, Italy and Spain.
