An upcoming wine-tasting room is bringing California cool to Boerne’s Hill Country Mile. Hill & Bach Cellars , specializing in Paso Robles vintages, will open at 265 Main St in spring 2026.

The concept comes from native Houstonians Julie and Richard Lee. After Richard sold his oil company, the couple relocated to bucolic Paso Robles, where Richard experienced his first tasting. Vino soon became a passion, leading the Lees to buy a vineyard so they could make their own wines.

In 2018, the homesick Texans moved to Boerne and eventually found the perfect site for a tasting room, the historic Old Jacob Luckenbach House (the founder of that Luckenbach ).
