Jessie J has offered more details about her emotional encounter with Kate Middleton .

The "Bang Bang" singer shared what she and Princess of Wales—who like herself, has battled cancer—said to one another during their conversation at the Royal Variety Performance at Royal Albert Hall in London in November.

"She just said, 'Thank you,'" Jessie recalled during an interview with Good Morning America , released on Dec. 5. "She said, 'I know you've gone through a tough time,' and I said, 'I know you have too.'"
