As threats against law enforcement continue to grow across the nation, U.S. Sen. Tommy Tuberville (R-Auburn) has introduced legislation he hopes will provide an increased measure of safety for officers and agents serving in the field.

Tuberville's bill, the Back the Blue Act, would increase penalties for criminals who target law enforcement officers and provide new tools for officers to protect themselves amid an 8,000% increase in threats.
