PHOENIX (AZFamily) — Phoenix police have arrested a suspect in two separate murders that happened five days apart in north Phoenix.
Adalberto Pablo Cordova Torres, 21, is being held on two counts of first-degree murder in connection with the crimes that happened late last month.
The first happened around 3:15 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 24, outside a strip mall near 19th Avenue and Greenway Road . Officers responded to reports of a shooting and found a man dead at the scene . The victim has since been identified as 45-year-old Marcus Adams.
Then, shortly before 2 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 29, Phoenix police were called to check on an injured person near 19th Avenue and Thunderbird Road — a mile south of the previous homicide. There, officers found a man dead from multiple gunshot wounds.
