The West Elgin Fire Department Years of Service Awards were also presented during the Nov. 22 ceremony

The Municipality of West Elgin recently celebrated its second annual Volunteer Awards and Fire Service Recognition ceremonies at the Elgin International Club.

The awards were presented and explained during the Nov. 22 ceremony by Mayor Richard Leatham, Deputy Mayor Taraesa Tellier, and Councillors Phil Sousa and Bill Denning.

Various municipal staff were also in attendance, including clerk Terri Towstiuc, chief administrator Robin Greenall, new recreation and communications co-ordinator Jenna Campbell, and infrastructure manager David Charron.

The international club staff provided a delicious meal before the awards were presented for volunteer service to the commun
